Hello, my name is John. I'm the Senior Network Administrator for a regional broadband ISP, and I also run a popular fitness web site and forum.

This web page was created more than a decade ago, and it obviously hasn't changed too much since. Sorry about that. I guess I'm always busy doing other stuff, but one day I'll get around to a twowiresthin facelift. Maybe.

Aside from computers and networking, I am into physical fitness, mountain biking, photography, cooking, home theater, DVDs, guns, personal defense, poker, animals, gardening and guitar.

I love all animals, but I'm especially fond of dogs. These are my two kids, Loki and Turtle. I lost Turtle to cancer in 2009, and I still think about her and miss her every day of my life. Loki is 16 years old, but he still thinks he's 5, which is awesome.

Here's my searchable DVD collection (and other assorted DVD and movie related stuff). The database backend is powered by MySQL running on a Linux server. HTTP content is served by Apache, and I programmed the high-level search stuff in PHP.

Here's my body transformation and fitness web site. It's updated daily, and is an ongoing account of how I changed my life forever simply by eating right, lifting weights and exercising. You can do it too.
